Plan B One-Step Emergency Contraceptive, 1. 5 mg (1 Tablet)
Plan B One-Step is a single-tablet emergency contraceptive containing 1. 5 mg levonorgestrel to be taken within 72 hours after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure. The sooner it is taken, the more effective it is. Plan B works primarily by temporarily delaying ovulation and will not terminate an existing pregnancy. It is not an abortion pill. Possible side effects are generally mild and may include changes in your period (spotting or early/late bleeding), nausea, abdominal cramps, tiredness, headache, and dizziness. If you vomit within 2 hours of taking the tablet, consult your healthcare professional to determine whether to repeat the dose. If your period is more than a week late after taking Plan B, take a pregnancy test and follow up with your healthcare provider.
