This large-dog collar kills and repels fleas and ticks for up to 8 continuous months through contact, so pests do not have to bite your dog to die. Existing fleas die within 24 hours of initial application; after 24 hours, new fleas are killed within 2 hours. Prevention of tick infestations begins 48 hours after application; new ticks are repelled and/or killed in as quickly as 6 hours.
